Martin Küchen & Angles - Every Woman Is A Tree (2007) |

 |
Artist: Martin Kuchen & AnglesAlbum: Every Woman Is A TreeLabel: Clean Feed Year: 2007 Format: MP3 320 kbps Time: 59:01 Size: 142 MB Предлагаю Вашему Вниманию! Замечательный, шведский авангард, от выдающегося, но малоизвестного композитора и саксофониста, выходца из Стокгольмской фри-джазовой школы, мастера европейской и американской импровизации. “Every Woman Is A Tree”, an album inspired by the events occurred in Iraq during the last years, caused by a foreign invasion of its territory, a subsequent war and dramatic consequences for the Iraqi people. In particular, an album with a specific reference to women, whose children find protection in their arms (like the branches of a tree). "Angles", a sextet of Scandinavian musicians mostly concerned with the free jazz scene but not only (considering the presence of Johan Berthling, member of the group Tape and co-runner of the Häpna label), led by Martin Küchen, saxophonist with excellent releases in the past besides the recent, singular, “Homo Sacer”. |

Pepper Adams - Ephemera |

Artist: Pepper AdamsAlbum: EphemeraLabel:Spotlite Year: 1974 Quality:mp3;192 kb/s (LP-rip) Size:66,86 On tour with the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra in England, baritonist Pepper Adams took time off to record a fine straightahead quartet session with the big band's rhythm section: pianist Roland Hanna, bassist George Mraz and drummer Mel Lewis. Adams performs four of his obscure originals (most memorable is the melodic title cut), Thad Jones' "Quiet Lady," "Jitterbug Waltz" and a romping version of Bud Powell's classic "Bouncing With Bud." A fine example of the deep-toned baritonist at his best. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide |

Artist(s): The Swingle Singers Album: Beauty And The Beatbox Label: Signum Year: 2007 Format: APE Size:300 mb Легендарный коллектив представляет новую программу "Beauty and the Beatbox" - "Красота и битбокс". The Swingle Singers present 'Beauty and the Beatbox' - a very special performance to tie in with the launch of their brand new album, released in September. They will be joined by special guest Shlomo, one of the world's leading beatboxers, as they da-va-da-va-da, hip-hop, do-wap and beatbox their way through the music of Beethoven ('A Fifth of Beethoven'), Ravel ('Bolero'), Starksy and Hutch ('Gotcha'), Chick Corea ('Spain'), Purcell ('Dido's Lament'), Bach ('Badinerie - revisited'), and a whole lot more! "The Swingle Singers were never less than dazzling" ~ Washington Post |

Larry Coryell Trio - Impressions |
Post-bop, Fusion |
 |
 |
Artist: Larry Coryell , Sam Yahel ; Paul Wertico Title: Impressions Genre: Jazz / Bop Label: Chesky Records Release Date: 2008 Quality: mp3@256 kbps Size: 102 mb Larry Coryell's name isn't bandied around much now, but in the 1970s he was almost as big a guitar star as John McLaughlin, and an equivalent influence on the development of early electric jazz-rock fusion. But this is not just another cosy retro exercise. Coryell's crackling uptempo bursts and engagingly rough-hewn energy give this familiar music a vividness and infectious enthusiasm, and the powerful presence of sometime Bill Frisell and Norah Jones sideman Sam Yahel on Hammond organ and former Pat Metheny drummer Paul Wertico adds a lot more of that. The early tracks are mostly classics, but Coryell's original Szabador and Wertico's Full Moon Over Istanbul are memorable and unusual enough to suggest that the group could have scattered its own music a little more confidently through the programme. Coryell's own stealthily bluesy groover Stowaway is full of Wes Montgomery flourishes, and Yahel builds his solos with a compelling deliberation tentatively introducing fresh phrases and then igniting them, segueing flying runs into murmurs, and generally avoiding familiar Hammond organ licks. Wertico's brutal, pummelling drum solo in Coryell's fizzing Szabodar (a tribute to the late Hungarian guitarist Gбbor Szabу) would also never have been heard the same way on a 1960s bop set. It's good to hear Coryell on top of his game. |

Artist: VA Album: Fascinatin' Rhythm - Capitol Sings George Gershwin Label: Capitol Genre: Jazz, smooth, lounge Years: 1943-1966, release - 1992 Quality: MP3@320 kbps Size: 146 mb Total time: 62:36 REPOST with new link Fascinatin' Rhythm: Capitol Sings Gershwin is a very enjoyable sampler, featuring a generous selection of Capitol recording artists singing many of the best items in George Gershwin's catalog. Every featured artist more or less fits into the "traditional pop vocal" category, but there's enough variety in their vocals and arrangements to make this a varied, consistently entertaining listen. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, AMG |

Oscar Peterson - Live in Cologne (1970) |

Artist: Oscar Peterson Album: Live in Cologne Label: bootleg Year: 1970 Format Mp3, bitrate: 192 kb/s Time: 1:19:37 Size: 109 Mb Bubu's Rating: **** My ignorance of Oscar Peterson far exceeds my knowledge of him and his life. Just to explore his work it would take a lifetime. His works, concerts, contributions etc. are endless. Each day I find new interesting things about this extraordinary man. The recently renovated Gurzenich is Cologne's banqueting hall (place of Oscar's concert) is the city's best reception room. Architecturally speaking, this is far from being just another old building. Since its completion in the mid 15th century, this Gothic senate-house has been considered to be the most important secular building of the Holy Roman Empire. Last summer when I visited Koln I passed the building without knowing that it hoasted such beautiful events. I was interested only about the whereabouts of Jarrett's Koln Concert... Anyway this is a great soundboard recording of the Oscar Peterson Trio. It was recorded at Gurzenich in Cologne, Germany on 19 November 1970. ~ Bubu Hans |

Artist - Blossom Dearie Album - Once Upon A Summertime Label - Verve Year - 1958; release - 1992 Quality - MP3@320kbps Size - 76mb Total Time - 35:39 REPOST with new link Vocalist Blossom Dearie's Summetime is a low-key collection of chamber-jazz arranged for a small trio. Working with guitarist Mundell Lowe, bassist Ray Brown, and drummer Ed Thigpen, Dearie sings the material with a gentle conviction; she may never sound passionate, but she never sounds like she doesn't care. The result is a pleasant record, that might never be a compelling listen, but it's never a bad one. ~ Thom Owens, All Music Guide |

Tony Williams - Life Time (RVG-edition) |

 |
Artist: Tony Williams Album: Life Time Label: Blue Note (RVG-edition) Quality: mp3@320 kbps + all covers Size: 94 mb I bought this cd because it's a "Rudy Van Gelder-edition" , which i more or less collect: I bought 250 of them now. But no...This one won't be in my cd-player often, because (as a hard-bopfan) i don't like this free-jazzthing.... Too complicated for me Look at the reviews on Blue Note.com and you will see people fore and against it. I'm pretty sure though, that there are many jazz-lovers who like this record. Especially for them i ripped it, scanned the covers and posted it here! AMG says: Drummer Tony Williams' first recording as a leader (made when he was 18 and still billed as Anthony Williams) gave him an opportunity to utilize an advanced group of musicians: tenor saxophonist Sam Rivers, vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, pianist Herbie Hancock, and both Richard Davis and Gary Peacock on bass. Williams wrote all four of the pieces and has a different combination of players on each song. The freely improvised "Memory" features Hutcherson, Hancock, and Williams in some colorful and at times spacy interplay; "Barb's Song to the Wizard" is a Hancock-Ron Carter duet; "Tomorrow Afternoon" has Rivers, Peacock and Williams in a trio; and all of the musicians (except Hutcherson) are on the sidelong "2 Pieces of One." The unpredictable music holds one's interest; a very strong debut for the masterful drummer. |
