John Coltrane - Coltrane/Prestige 7105 (1957) |

Artist: John Coltrane Album: Coltrane/Prestige 7105 Label: Original Jazz Classics Year: 1957 Format, bitrate: MP3@320 kbit/s Time: 0.41:42 Size: 93 MB REPOST with new links from mister eman. Прекрасный образец раннего творчества одного из самых гениальных тенор-саксофонистов! This CD reissue, Coltrane, brings back the music originally released as First Trane. The classic of the set is the emotional and eerie "While My Lady Sleeps," but all six selections (including "Violets for Your Furs") are notable for tenor saxophonist John Coltrane's passionate solos. This was his first full session as a leader (as opposed to heading jam- session dates), and it also features either Mal Waldron or Red Garland on piano, bassist Paul Chambers, drummer Al "Tootie" Heath, and on some numbers trumpeter Johnny Splawn and baritonist Sahib Shihab. As with 'Trane's other Prestige sessions, this valuable music is also available in his huge box set; recommended in one form or another. |

Chris Jones & Steve Baker - Smoke and Noise |

Artist: Chris Jones & Steve Baker Album: Smoke and Noise Label: Acoustic Year: 2002 Genre: Blues Format, bitrate: mp3@320kbps Time: 67:23 Size: 128 mb With refreshing directness and dynamic intensity, the live recording "Smoke and Noise" captures the concentrated energy which one of the finest and most original blues duos performing today puts over on stage. Guitarist/singer Chris Jones and harp virtuoso Steve Baker need no introduction to blues lovers - through countless concerts these two exceptional musicians have won the hearts of a growing number of fans and garnered enthusiastic press reports along the way. The combination of Jones’ expressive vocals and unmistakable picking style with Baker’s uniquely recognizable harmonica sound creates its own category of musical energy. Earthy, soulful and skillfully crafted acoustic music of the highest quality – "Smoke and Noise" is a masterly fusion of traditional blues, rock&roll, songs, ballads and acoustic funk which defies classification. ~ Acoustic Music Review |

Artist - Ron Goodwin And His Orchestra Album - Gypsy Fire Label - EMI Year - 1957 Quality - MP3@320 kbps Size - 91,9 mb Total time - 44:48 Очень приятная вечерняя расслабляющая музыка ! Вы услышите популярные цыганские, венгерские и другие мелодии в исполнении знаменитого оркестра легкой музыки! Very pleasant evening relaxing music! You will hear the popular Gypsy, Hungarian and other melodies performed by the famous band of easy music!
Lurking behind this cheesy cover is a real light classics gem. Produced by George Martin, the tracks on this album show a quality of arrangement and orchestration that owes much to British composers such as Vaughn-Williams and Elgar. This is also one of the best-preserved records I have ever purchased, and you will hear the difference - the violins in particular have a clean, crisp presence that adds to the overall air of orchestral respectability. |

Artist: Bob Cooper Album: Group Activity Year: 1954 Label: fresh sound Format: mp3, quality: 320 kbps includes full scans. When Bob Cooper (1925-1993) made his record debut as a leader in 1954, he was already well known for his solo work on tenor sax with Stan Kenton. He was articulate and original in both writing and playing. Cooper and his associates take us here through a wide range of musical adventures, from a slow subtle ballad, to clever contrapuntal invention, to swinging dynamic improvisation. All the arrangements and four of the compositions are by Cooper’s own pen. These recordings feature some of his most swinging, best-sounding tenor on record. Here are winds blowing out of the west, carrying the sound of Jazz, zesty as a salt breeze off the California beach, kaleidoscopic, like spindrift. |

Artist: Lionel Loueke Album: Karibu Year: Mar 25, 2008 Genre: Folk-Jazz, World Fusion, Post Bop Label: Blue Note Label Format: Mp3@ 320/kbs Size: 136,8 Mb В 1999 году поступил в Berklee College of Music.

Dexter Gordon - Tangerine |

Artist: Dexter Gordon Album: Tangerine dream Label: Prestige Year: 1972 Quality: mp3@320 + covers Size: 104 mb Still considered an expatriate as he resided in Europe, Dexter Gordon (tenor sax) returned stateside in mid-1972 long enough to lay down two sessions' worth of material that would primarily be split between Tangerine (1972), Generation (1973), and Ca'Purange (1973). The opening update of the Johnny Mercer staple "Tangerine" gets things underway with a mid-tempo treatment allowing Gordon, Thad Jones (trumpet), Hank Jones (piano), and Stanley Clarke (bass) plenty of room to groove on their own as well as in the quintet with Louis Hayes' (drums) rock-solid downbeat. Oddly, the performance is not presented in its entirety, fading out nearly nine minutes in. Hank Jones shines on the easygoing "August Blues" -- the first of three Gordon originals featured on the platter. Gordon is more methodical as his interesting ideas develop organically and inspire the same from Thad Jones, who kicks things up with his dizzying double-time before handing things back to pianist Hank Jones. Clarke steps up and gives the tune a final shot of soul as the rest of the ensemble join back in. The funky "What It Was" is the most modern-sounding side on the album, with Clarke's undulating and propulsive bass giving the number a contemporary kick. Although pianist Jones decides to class up the joint with refined and bluesy contributions that rhythmically jump and jive all over the beat. From a slightly earlier date, Gordon is accompanied by Cedar Walton (piano), Buster Williams (bass), and Billy Higgins (drums) on the LP's final two entries. The interpretation of the Mancini/Mercer classic "Days of Wine and Roses" is suitably stately with Gordon's rich tone perfectly capturing the tuneful romanticism without seeming maudlin or trite. The same can be said of Walton's warm and inviting runs that glide into a short but sublime bass solo from Williams. It certainly ranks up there as one of Gordon's greats. Freddie Hubbard (trumpet) is on hand for the closer -- Gordon's "The Group" -- as listeners are given a taste of the former's strong melodic sense. His blows are resounding, particularly so when doubling up beside Gordon for maximum impact. ~ Lindsay Planer, AMG |

Artist: Oscar Peterson Album: Oscar In Paris, Live at the Salle Pleyel Year: 1996 Release: 1997 Label: Telarc Format, bitrate: MP3, 320 kbps Time: 56:34 (Disc One) + 51:45 (Disc Two) Size: 260 MB REPOST One of the most sentimental, lyrical, lifeful and amazing Oscar Peterson's live recordings I've ever heard! According to this album we can easily say that at the age of 71 Great Oscar had 25 years young hands and 100 years old wise and ever-young soul! The first Salle Pleyel, on the Rue Rochechoart in Paris, was opened by the Pleyel piano firm in 1830 and quickly established itself as one of the leading concert halls in Europe. Its founder, the composer, pianist, publisher, and piano maker Ignace Joseph Pleyel, was an extraordinarily versatile figure in nineteenth-century music, so popular in his own lifetime that even so remote a settlement from Paris as the whaling port of Nantucket in Massachusetts had its own Pleyel Society. His son, the pianist Camille Pleyel, continued the family traditions, and among the most famous pianists he presented at the hall was his friend Frederic Chopin, whose first and last Paris recitals were given there respectively in 1832 and 1848. |
